Past daily of Armenia writes: Nelly Baghdasaryan, adviser on international affairs to the President of Artsakh [(Nagorno-Karabakh)], in an interview with Alphanews.am, reflecting on the possibility of a "direct dialogue" between Stepanakert and Baku, specifically noted: "The dialogue will take place only if the UN international mandate is obtained, because no other format can inspire confidence and provide reliable guarantees."

As is well known, this issue of "direct dialogue" came up under the influence of a number of circumstances, the main of which is that firstly, [Armenia’s] Nikol Pashinyan and the authorities led by him have recognized Artsakh as Azerbaijani territory, and released themselves from responsibility and obligation for the security of the Armenians of Artsakh.

For now, [Azerbaijani president] Aliyev and his criminal authorities continue the total blockade, or rather, the siege of Artsakh, in the conditions of the absolute inaction of Armenia’s authorities.

In an interview given to the same media outlet, Nelly Baghdasaryan, adviser on international affairs of the Artsakh President, also stated that Artsakh is resisting at the expense of its internal resources, but these resources are not inexhaustible, and the consequences of the blockade of Artsakh, which has lasted for more than half a year, are already being felt.
