The youth members of the former ruling Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) are staging a protest in front of the Prosecutor General’s Office, and with the slogan "Freedom for political prisoner Armen Ashotyan."

Speaking at the event, RPA youth wing president Henrikh Danielyan stated that Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan wants to take final steps to hand over the rest of Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) to Azerbaijan and to lead Armenia and Artsakh to final capitulation.

Armen Ashotyan, RPA vice-chairman and ex-Minister of Education and Science of Armenia, has been placed under arrest for two months in connection with a criminal case related to Mikayel Narimanyan, former Rector of Yerevan State Medical University.
