French MEP Nathalie Loiseau's call for imposing sanctions on President Ilham Aliyev of Azerbaijan has garnered support from more than 60 members of the European Parliament.
In her X microblog, Loiseau stated, “More than 60 members of the European Parliament are following me to demand that Europe sanction the Ilham Aliyev regime for its offensive against the Armenian people of Nagorno-Karabakh.”
Loiseau, alongside her fellow MEPs, has submitted a request to the European Union's foreign policy service, urging swift action to halt the ethnic cleansing of Armenians in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) and to prevent any potential escalation that could lead to a new conflict.
