The elections in Nagorno-Karabakh have worried not only Azerbaijan but also Armenia. Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said in an interview with Turkish media in New York.
"The attempt to hold presidential elections there seriously worried both [Armenian Prime Minister Nikol] Pashinyan and Azerbaijan. Azerbaijan saw it as a process that is still heating up the situation.
Warnings were given, but despite this, nothing changed. On the contrary, the process continued, after which Azerbaijan also made a move.
And it completed its operation quickly. I was informed that about 90 important targets were defeated," the state-run Anadolu Agency quoted him as saying.
