At every opportunity, we emphasize how important and how much we appreciate Iran's position on the territorial integrity of Armenia, the inviolability of its borders. This was stated by foreign minister Ararat Mirzoyan in the National Assembly of Armenia Friday—and during the debates on the implementation of the government's 2024 program.

"This is a position that high-ranking Iranian officials have been continuously voicing. [Armenian] Prime Minister [Nikol] Pashinyan attended the farewell ceremony for Iranian President Ebrahim Raisi and Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, who died in a tragic aviation crash. The prime minister attended the inauguration ceremony of the newly elected Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, had two meetings with [Iranian] Supreme Leader Seyyed Ali Khamenei, Nikol Pashinyan and Iranian President Pezeshkian had two meetings and one telephone conversation.

The 18th meeting of the intergovernmental joint commission of Armenia and Iran was held in Iran, [Armenian] Defense Minister Suren Papikyan paid an official visit to Iran, I myself have had two meetings with the Iranian Foreign Minister [Abbas] Araghchi. A delegation, led by Iran's First Vice President [Mohammad Reza] Aref, visited Armenia at the invitation of the prime minister within the framework of the regular meeting of the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council.

In February of this year, I had the opportunity to meet with Foreign Minister Araghchi in Geneva, further contacts are expected in the near future, we are waiting for Minister Araghchi also in Yerevan in the near future,” added the Armenian FM.
