YEREVAN. – Several hundred Yazidis, who on Thursday have assembled outside the Government of Armenia building, blocked the avenue across the building and sat on the busy side of the road.

The Yazidis are angry by the fact that the no one from the Armenian government came down and met with them, the Armenian News-NEWS.am reporter informed from the scene.

The police, on the other hand, are pushing and pulling the people away from the street.

The Yazidis living in Armenia demand that the Armenian government help the Yazidis of the town of Sinjar (Shangal) in Northern Iraq.

According to various sources, more than 5,000 people are killed in the town so far, and thousands of others have been displaced.
