ETCHMIADZIN. – The Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II released a congratulatory message in connection with the Republic Day.

“Today we celebrate the restoration of Armenian statehood, which became a reality after an interval for numerous centuries. 

Our fathers declared the First Republic of Armenia and the Armenian tricolor waved in the homeland sky, 94 years ago on this brilliant day in May. 

Gratification to the Almighty, [and] the heroic battles in May and the declaration of the First Republic of Armenia today inspire our people in the hopes toward strengthening the native statehood and building its brilliant future,” the Catholicos’ message states in particular.
