YEREVAN. – Large scaled searches for gold are being conducted in Armenia. According to the official website of the Armenian Government, as of May 1 licenses have been issued for conducted gold mining in 15 places. In another 20 mines gold is being searched along with other metals.

Prosperous Armenia Party leader Gagik Tsarukyan’s Multi Group Company was also issued a license for conducting gold searches.

Due to the increase in gold prices, international interest towards small gold mines has grown.
