The situation in the South Caucasus and the Nagorno-Karabakh peace process were high on the agenda of Turkish President Abdullah Gul’s meeting with Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov, reported APA.
President Gul reaffirmed Turkey’s position. Her pointed out that Turkey wants the OSCE Minsk Group to intensify its efforts to settle the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict. In this context he expressed his satisfaction with the recently intensified activities. According to him, Turkey is for peace and stability in the region and will go on supporting Azerbaijan.
In his turn, the Azerbaijani FM expressed appreciation of the Turkish leader’s position.
