January 9, Turkmenistan resumed gas supply to Russia.

Gas supply was suspended in April 2009 after the accident that occurred in Turkmenistan’s passage of the pipeline. Earlier, Turkmenistan provided Gazprom with about 50 cubic meters of gas annually that makes nearly10th share of company’s gas output.

Gas pipeline was restored in the May end, however new agreement on gas supply between Gazprom and Turkmenistan was signed December 22. A number of differences on contract terms between the sides became the reason of long negotiations.
