January 21, Russian President Dmitry Medvedev met with the Patriarch of Moscow and all Russia Kirill and the Catholicos of All Armenians Karekin II.

The meeting was held prior to the awarding ceremony of the International Foundation for the Unity of Orthodox Christian Nations (IFUOCN). Spiritual leader of all the Armenians and RF President were awarded the prizes for 2009.

The sides discussed development of Armenian-Russian ties, including interfaith relations.

Patriarch Kirill plans to visit Yerevan in March 2010.
