The director of Lithuanian sociological organization “Baltijos Tyrimai” (“Baltic Surveys”) Rasa Ališauskienė expressed the opinion to Armenian News-NEWS.am that among the former Soviet Union Armenia to some extent is unique in uniformity of public opinion, regardless of age.

Armenia, according to her, is different from other post-Soviet countries: public opinion is not segmented by age.

“In neighboring Georgia, you have such a disparity. In the Baltic region – the difference is strong, while in Ukraine and Moldova – it is very strong. The same is in Russia. Armenia is also a different in thinking among Armenians - by level of education, urban and rural residents, but not within the same family. Here, young people also leave the village and go to the city to study and work. But the elderly people in rural areas think almost the same way as their grandchildren in Yerevan,” she said.
