YEREVAN. – Along the lines of his talks with members of the new Romanian government, Armenia’s Ambassador to Romania, Hamlet Gasparyan, on Friday first met with his compatriot Varujan Vosganian, the Minister of Economy of Romania.

The ambassador expressed a hope that, by assuming this important position, Vosganian will contribute to the development of Armenian-Romanian state-level ties.     

Subsequently, the interlocutors underscored the need to deepen bilateral economic cooperation, discussed interaction, and outlined the respective prospects, Armenian MFA press service informs.   

In terms of areas of cooperation, they pointed to Information Technology, chemical industry, health care, pharmacy, agriculture, and tourism.     

Also, they delineated the additional steps aimed at boosting economic cooperation. Furthermore, the decentralized collaboration—which started last year between the two countries—was considered an additional realm in this regard.    

In addition, the parties touched upon the matter of cooperating within international economic organizations.
