Armenia will pay 5,000 euros for losing the “Sholokhov v. Armenia and Republic of Moldova” lawsuit that was filed with the European Court of Human Rights (ECtHR). The respective ruling was made on July 31, 2012.
The Justice Ministry of Armenia included the draft decision to allocate 5,000 euros in the agenda of Thursday’s Cabinet session; this amount will be allotted from the Government Reserve Fund.
All that is known about the aforesaid lawsuit is that the Armenian Civil Court of Appeals had not recognized the 2003 ruling by a district court of the Moldovan capital city Chişinău, by solely making a reference to a point at The Minsk Convention but without presenting the reasons.
