YEREVAN. – Armenia’s Interdepartmental Commission for Coordinating Armenian State Agencies’ Cooperation with European Organizations convened a session on Wednesday; National Security Council (NSC) Secretary and Commission Chairman Arthur Baghdasaryan chaired the talk.

The session’s agenda included several matters, including the latest developments in and key achievements of Armenia-EU cooperation, NSC press service informs. 

“The Armenia-European Union cooperation had a productive process in 2012. Our relations developed at a dynamic pace. We could sign the [Armenia-EU] Association Agreement by the end of 2013. The course of the [Armenia-EU] Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade [Zone] Agreement is positive, as well,” Baghdasaryan specifically said during his remarks.     

He recorded that a considerable progress has been made in bilateral cooperation. 

“As a result of collaboration in the domains of justice, liberty, and security, EU signed a visa relaxation agreement with Armenia,” Baghdasaryan noted.  

In their turn, members of the aforementioned interdepartmental commission recorded that there is significant progress in terms of signing the Armenia-EU Association Agreement.
