YEREVAN. – Mexico’s newly-appointed Ambassador to Armenia, Rubén Alberto Beltrán Guerrero, on Monday presented the copy of his credentials to Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian.

Nalbandian expressed a hope that, with his activities, the new Mexican ambassador will stimulate the enlargement of relations between the two countries, the Armenian MFA press service informs. He also conveyed an expectation that the implementation of the agreements, which were reached during his visit to Mexico last year, will become an additional stimulus for developing Armenian-Mexican interaction.

In addition, Nalbandian noted that the Government of Armenia adopted a decision to open up an Armenian embassy this year in Mexico City.

In his turn, Ambassador Guerrero stated that his country underscores the development of ties with Armenia, and assured that he will do his utmost to further deepen Armenian-Mexican friendship.

The interlocutors reflected on the avenues to expand the legal and contractual framework, the cooperation within international organizations, and the trade, economic and cultural interaction between both countries.
