YEREVAN. – Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan received a group of Karabakh War veterans that staged a demonstration Thursday in front of the Government building.
The PM listened to their problems and issues, discussed the avenues for resolving them, and took note of their proposals, the Government press service informs.
Sargsyan instructed the Ministry of Defense to study the lists of the Karabakh War veterans that are included in the social assistance programs and to carry out necessary adjustments in these lists.
The war veterans noted that they are not protesting, but rather inviting the attention of the government toward them. An as the first manifestation of this attention, they proposed that Freedom Fighters’ Day be declared in Armenia.
Tigran Sargsyan promised to discuss the raised issues at the Government and to attempt to find appropriate solutions, which will be examined during another talk with the Karabakh War veterans.
