YEREVAN. – The sixth contest-festival of the music and art schools of Armenia’s capital city Yerevan wrapped up with a gala concert on Saturday.

A total of 2,000 students from 25 such schools participated in the competition.

Twelve nominations are included the contest-festival, the Yerevan Municipality Information and Public Relations Department informs.

“The contest yields a greater result each year. This year’s competition was much stronger than last year; this means the standing of the contest and the qualitative growth of Yerevan’s music schools are synchronous,” Municipality Culture and Tourism Department Head Kamo Movsesyan noted.

Aside from certificates, the top ten schools of the event also received monetary awards.
