YEREVAN. – Based on the petition submitted by Raffi Hovannisian, the Armenian Constitutional Court on Tuesday will discuss the constitutionality of two sections in the Electoral Code.  

Opposition Heritage Party MP Zaruhi Postanjyan and attorney Karen Mezhlumyan will represent the interests of Heritage’s chairman, ex-presidential candidate, former FM, Hovannisian, his headquarters inform.    

To note, the aforesaid sections refer to the election candidates’ and contending political parties’/alliances’ establishment of election headquarters and placement of signs on them, as well as the funding procedures for the election candidates’ and contending political parties’/alliances’ carrying out of election campaigns by way of the media, leasing of halls and spaces, preparation and placement of campaign posters, and acquiring and preparation of campaign materials.
