YEREVAN. – The dinner party, which Armenian Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan threw in early June, cost close to 1 million drams (approx. $2,400) on the state budget, Zhoghovurd daily reports. 

“Zhoghovurd was able to find out that a huge dinner party was held in a restaurant in Kotayk Region, whereupon the Government [of Armenia] paid 920,000 drams [approx. $2,208] to the restaurant. [But] we could not find out whom the dinner party was thrown for.

The Government website, however, has no information on receiving any foreign delegation, or other guests, on those days.  

To note, in line with the data available to Zhoghovurd, another 800,000 drams [approx. $1,920] were spent for food service at the Government; this food was intended for the Government guests,” Zhoghovurd writes.
