YEREVAN. – Ex-Governor Suren Khachatryan of Armenia’s Syunik Region is still fighting to return to his past “glory,” Irates De Facto newspaper reports.   

“Litska [i.e. the nickname of Khachatryan] is frequently in [capital city] Yerevan these days and, according to our source, seeing that a meeting with [President] Serzh Sargsyan is not in the making, he is looking for avenues to at least meet with the PM [Tigran Sargsyan], ‘face-to-face.’  

“As our source informs, his main occupation these days is ‘working’ in this direction. But [at the same time] he is spreading news that he is resting a bit, now, [and] subsequently, he will be appointed minister,” Irates De Facto writes.
