YEREVAN. – Armenia’s National Assembly (NA) Deputy Speaker Eduard Sharmazanov met with Notis Mitarachi, Deputy Minister for Development and Competitiveness of Greece, on June 29 in Athens.
The interlocutors reflected on the avenues to further develop and deepen relations between the Armenians and the Greeks, the Armenian NA press service informs.
Sharmazanov noted that the bilateral economic relations lag behind the political ties—which are at a high level—between the two countries.
Mitarachi agreed with the vice-chair of the Armenian parliament, and expressed regret that the trade and economic potential between Armenia and Greece is not used to its fullest.
In this respect, Eduard Sharmazanov and Notis Mitarachi underscored the Armenian-Greek business forum, which will be held this September in Armenia’s capital city Yerevan.
