YEREVAN. – Those advertising panels and posters, which are in violation of Armenia’s laws on advertising and language and the respective decisions by the Council of Elders of capital city Yerevan, are being removed in the city.

Yerevan Municipality official Araz Baghdasaryan notes that the crews, which are carrying out these activities, notify the relevant businesses as to when they will come to remove these panels or posters, the Municipality Information and Public Relations Department informs.

“Free advice is given to all those businesses that wish to receive it. There are businesses which themselves remove their panels that violate the law,” Baghdasaryan noted.

There are 3,000 such advertisements in the inventory of Yerevan.

All such panels and posters will be removed by August 1.
