YEREVAN. – Opposition “Barev [Hello], Yerevan” faction in the Armenian capital city Yerevan Council of Elders will submit a petition to the Administrative Court on Wednesday.  

The petition demands to declare null and void Yerevan mayor’s decision No. 3660-A, dated July 19, and to invalidate the mayor’s decision No. 3661-A, also dated July 19.     

In addition, the faction members will be on location to answer questions from journalists, the faction informs. 

To note, the aforesaid decisions are concerning the increase in the public transport fares in the city. But as a result of an intense public discontent, the Yerevan mayor had suspended these decisions.
