YEREVAN. – A group of university students of Armenia are staging a protest, on Monday in front of the Government building in capital city Yerevan, against the decision to raise the university tuition fees.  

They demand the cancellation of the aforementioned decision and are holding several banners.

Aleksandr Ghazaryan, Head of the Petitions and Letters Department at the Government, met with the protesters and promised that he will submit their request to PM Tigran Sargsyan.  

To note, Education and Science Minister Armen Ashotyan will meet this week with a group of activists that hold demonstrations against the hike in the tuition fees.
