YEREVAN. – The newly appointed Swiss Ambassador in Armenia Lucas Gaser handed the copies of his credentials on Monday to the Armenian Deputy FM Ashot  Hovakimyan, Armenian News-NEWS.am reports.

According to the press service of Armenian MFA, during the meeting Armenian official expressed hope that the new envoy will facilitate the development of Armenian-Swiss cooperation in various areas. both sides emphasized the progress of high level political dialogue between states.

During the meeting new envoy discussed with Armenian deputy FM the cooperation in the framework of international agencies in general and forthcoming Swiss presidency in OSCE in particular (the OSCE mediates talks on Nagorno-Karabakh issue with Azerbaijan – NEWS.am).

Ashot Hovakimyan has also thanked Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) for implementation of programs in Armenia in the past 25 years.
