YEREVAN. – The Government of Armenia allocated 30 million drams (approx. $73,600) to the Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs, for the country’s participation in the 8th Francophonie Games (Jeux de la Francophonie).

This year’s event will be held from September 6 to 15 in Nice, France.

The government also allotted Armenian drams equivalent to 1,650 euros to Lori Regional Hall, to pay its membership fee to the International Association of Francophone Regions (AIRF).

To note, Armenia’s Lori Region became a full AIRF member in November 2011, and in consideration of its numerous years of cooperation with Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region of France.
