YEREVAN. – The young man, who had fallen into a hole in Armenia’s capital city Yerevan and who had died at Erebuni Medical Center, was Sedrak Mamikonyan, 35, the hospital told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
Zhora Minasyan, 21, who likewise had remained under the soil, was transferred to Erebuni Medical Center, too. Minasyan had spine fractures and injuries. He received emergency medical treatment and was discharged, the hospital informed.
Both are Yerevan residents.
To note, an unforeseen incident occurred in Yerevan on Friday. A landslide had created a large hole in which a young man had fallen. The hole was about 3 meters deep and around 20 meters long.
The rescuers conducted a search and, by digging the soil, they found the young man that had fallen into the hole. He had remained under the soil for more than one hour.
The young man was still alive when he was found and he was immediately taken to Erebuni Medical Center. But his life could not be saved.
