The statement posted on Twitter on behalf of Egypt’s interim president Adly Mansour on possible acknowledgement of the Armenian Genocide is a matter of concern for Turkey.

Leading Turkish media outlets touched upon the remark using critical titles against Egypt’s interim government and president Adly Mansour.

The message written on behalf of Mansour says: “Our representatives at the United Nations will sign the international document that acknowledges the Armenian Genocide, which was committed by the Turkish military, leading to the deaths of one million.”

On August 15 Turkey and Egypt recalled Ambassadors for consultations.
