Lebanese- Armenian jewelry company will support Armenian schools in Lebanon and all over the world, L’Orient-Le Jour newspaper writes.
Yeprem company released a gold bracelet with diamonds and an encrusted cross-stone (Armenian khachkar). Five percent from the sales will be allocated to the Armenian schools.
“To wear this bracelet means to put Armenia on the wrist,” director of the company Ludvig Chakardemian said.
In addition to a cross-stone there is also a pomegranate, a fruit which is a symbol of life in Armenia.
The aim of this initiative is to support the Armenian schools especially in Lebanon and around the world where the bracelet will be sold for new generation of Armenians to know their history, origin and language.
World famous Armenian singer Charles Aznavour welcomed the initiative and promised to support this cause by wearing a bracelet with a cross-stone on her wrist.
