YEREVAN. – There is strong likelihood that Armenia will initial Association Agreement with EU this November, Armenian political analyst said.
Alexander Iskandaryan, director of the Caucasus Institute, is convinced that Armenia is making serious move on its way to the Eastern Partnership summit in Vilnius.
“However, the significance of the agreement is greatly exaggerated in Armenia,” Iskandaryan said during the Thursday media conference. He recalled that Vilnius is not the finish but the start of Armenia’s way.
“Vilnius is merely one of the moves on the way of Armenia’s entering the European area of goods and services. We are not joining European Union, just as we are not joining the Customs Union,” he emphasized.
Armenia and EU are expected to initial Association Agreement during the Eastern Partnership summit in Vilnius.
