YEREVAN. – Representatives of Armenia’s political circles are waiting with bated breath for President Sargsyan’s visit to Russia and a meeting with President Vladimir Putin, 168 Zham newspaper writes.
“Pro-western, pro-Russian politicians, and those who call themselves pro-Armenian, are confident that the visit will decide whether Armenia will initial agreement with EU or will join the Customs Union,” the newspaper writes.
The Russian media claims Sargsyan-Putin meeting will not take place, as Moscow is angered with Armenia’s European integration trend.
“However, official confirmation about Sargsyan’s trip to Moscow proves that Armenian and Russian presidents will reach an agreement. It is not ruled out that it will be Armenia’s refusal from European integration,” the newspaper writes.
