YEREVAN. – The Armenian National Assembly was preparing to launch parliamentary hearings on the Armenia-EU Association Agreement and the Deep and Comprehensive Free Trade Area agreement, which is a part of the Association Agreement, Haykakan Zhamanak daily reports.

“Yesterday [i.e., Tuesday], however, the newspaper learned that the intention to hold [such] hearings has been canceled.

“Following [Tuesday’s] Serzh Sargsyan-Vladimir Putin talk in Moscow and the joint statement, the [Armenian] MPs now consider the [parliamentary] discussions on the EU Association Agreement to be senseless,” Haykakan Zhamanak writes.
