In early October the Russian Federal Customs Union may start practical consultations with Armenian colleagues joining Customs Union, Russian official said.

Head of the Union Andrey Belyaninov said they will start consultations not waiting for official statements by the Armenian government, RBK reported. The consultations will be attended by heads of customs services of Kazakhstan and Belarus, he said on Wednesday.

Andrey Belyaninov hailed working relations with Armenian colleagues, adding that they have “common approaches and information interaction.”

As a result of the talks that were held on September 3 in Moscow between Armenian and Russian Presidents Serzh Sargsyan and Vladimir Putin, Sargsyan announced that Armenia plans to join the Customs Union and subsequently engage in the formation of the Eurasian Economic Union.
