YEREVAN. – According to the Ministry of Finance of Armenia, in 2014, Armenia’s state budget revenues will comprise AMD 1,272,000,000,000 (approx. $3,118,582,429), and the expenditures will make up AMD 1,145,000,000,000 (approx. $2,807,214,530).
The government accepted these magnified indicators as a note, Haykakan Zhamanak daily reports.
“In the case of becoming a member in the Customs Union, will Armenia’s budget revenues increase, or reduce? We posed such question to Deputy Minister of Finance Pavel Safaryan.
“‘These factors are not yet taken into account in this draft budget,’ the deputy minister said.
“Let us note that Armenia is expected to enter the Customs Union on January 1, 2014. In this case, the state budget revenues will undergo substantial changes, to put it mildly, since the same customs procedure [that is in force] in the RF [i.e., the Russian Federation] border will be in force in Armenia’s border [as well].
“In other words, the presented indicators are not final at all,” Haykakan Zhamanak writes.
