YEREVAN. – Armenia might not join the Russia-launched Customs Union, after all, Zhamanak daily reports.

“According to some information, a commission, in connection with accession to the Customs Union, will be set up before the end of the year. It will examine the documents—charter, proposed terms, etc.—of this organization.

“According to reliable information, as a result of its study, the commission set up by the Armenian party will come to the conclusion that becoming a member in the Customs Union is inexpedient for Armenia, since the proposed tax rates are unfavorable to our economy,” Zhamanak writes.
