YEREVAN. – President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan signed an order on establishing the Legal Committee on Formation of Joint Investigative Body.
The President’s respective order states that the aforesaid committee will be formed to strengthen the independence of Armenia’s investigative bodies, increase the effectiveness of criminal investigations, and to form a single investigative body—and on the basis of the working investigative bodies—within Armenia’s Ministry of Defense, Police, and State Revenue Committee.
And pursuant to the order, former Prosecutor General Aghvan Hovsepyan will be appointed Chairman of the Legal Committee on Formation of Joint Investigative Body.
