CoE Secretary General Thorbjorn Jagland will draw up a new report on Russian-Georgian war, the Committee of Ministers’ Deputies decided.

“On 26 March 2010, at their 1080th meeting in Strasbourg, the Committee of Ministers’ Deputies of the Council of Europe discussed the proposals of the Secretary General Thorbjorn Jagland regarding the modalities of his reporting to the Committee of Ministers on the consequences of the Russia-Georgia war in August 2008. The representatives of member states unanimously decided to retain the previous decisions taken on this issue, and invited the Secretary General to present his new consolidated report on the conflict in Georgia,” reads the statement by Georgian Foreign Ministry.
