YEREVAN.  – As of November 1, 6pm, a total of 607 convicts have been released from the correctional facilities of the Armenian Ministry of Justice.

The prisoners were set free under the amnesty that was proposed by President Serzh Sargsyan and subsequently approved by the National Assembly. 

To note, the amnesty was declared on October 3, and on the occasion of the 22nd anniversary of Armenia’s independence.
