April 7-9, EU Commissioner for Enlargement and the European Neighborhood Policy Stefan Fule will visit Tbilisi, Georgian Deputy Foreign Minister Nino Kalandadze said at April 5 briefing.

He will hold meetings with Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili and governmental senior officials.

Fule will hold talks with representatives of Georgian opposition and EU monitoring mission. He will visit the settlements of refugees and familiarize himself with their problems.

This is Fule’s first visit to Georgia, Kalandadze said adding that EU Commissioner intends to survey the situation in the country and region, as well as the election campaign and preparations for forthcoming May 30 elections.
