YEREVAN. – Armenian and Russian leaders Serzh Sargsyan and Vladimir Putin had a meeting in Yerevan that was followed by talks with the participation of Armenian and Russian delegations.

The parties discussed the directions of further development of strategic partnership, issues on trade, economic and humanitarian cooperation, prospects of Armenia’s joining Customs Union and Eurasian Economic Union.

Prior to the meeting, Vladimir Putin and Serzh Sargsyan laid wreaths at the Memorial to the Armenian Genocide victims.

President Vladimir Putin arrived on a state visit to Armenia on Monday.
