YEREVAN. – Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian on Tuesday received Jim Bolger, Special Envoy of the Prime Minister of New Zealand. 

Nalbandian noted that Armenia-New Zealand ties have become more active. In his view, this is proved by his visit to New Zealand last year, and the appointment of New Zealand’s first-ever ambassador to Armenia. 

In turn, Bolger noted that New Zealand attaches great importance to the expanding of relations with Armenia and wishes to take effective steps in this direction.

The interlocutors reflected on the avenues for the development of political, trade and economic relations, cooperation within international organizations, and the extension of the legal and contractual  framework between Armenia and New Zealand.   

In addition, Edward Nalbandian presented the ongoing efforts by Armenia and the international community toward a pacific settlement to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.

The parties also exchanged views on several regional and international matters.
