YEREVAN. – The driver of a GAZ 3110-model vehicle attempted, together with his father and brother—on Tuesday at 5:30pm—, to push the broken-down car away from the road on Yerevan-Ijevan Highway in Armenia.
But the driver of a GAZ 322132-model minibus, which was travelling in the direction of Ijevan city, was unable to stop the vehicle due to black ice on the road.
As a result, the minibus crashed into the back side of the GAZ 3110 and ran over the father and the brother of the GAZ 3110’s driver.
The father, Hayk Gyurjoyan (born in 1945), died, whereas the brother was injured and subsequently hospitalized.
A criminal case is opened, informs the Police News Department.
An investigation is underway into the incident.
