The Ukrainian chairmanship supported Minsk Group on promoting dialogue between Armenia and Azerbaijan, Foreign Minister Leonid Kozhara said.

During the Friday press conference as a result of OSCE Ministerial Council, the Chairperson-in-Office touched upon the issue of protracted conflicts.

Kozhara recalled that the Ukrainian chairmanship urged Aliyev and Sargsyan to renew political dialogue at the highest level and in this context welcomed their meeting in November.

“Persistent efforts are needed for political settlement of protracted conflicts based on the principles of international law,” he said.

Ukrainian FM assured that his country remains committed to achieving these goals after chairmanship.
