April 12-13, U.S. President Barack Obama will host Global Nuclear Security Summit in Washington. 47 states will attend the summit, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs stated at an April 6 briefing.
Within the framework of the summit, Obama will hold a number of bilateral meetings with leaders of different states, including RA President Serzh Sargsyan. Asked whether Obama-Sargsyan-Erdogan trilateral meeting is scheduled, Gibbs replied the meeting is not planned.
According to him, nuclear security and proliferation of nuclear arms will be focal points of the meetings, except for Serzh Sargsyan, with whom Obama will touch upon Armenia-Turkey normalization as well.
