YEREVAN. – Those violating customs procedures in Armenia will get an opportunity to return confiscated goods faster, deputy head of the State Revenue Committee of Armenia said.
Vakhtang Mirumyan on Tuesday presented in the parliament draft amendments to the Customs Code.
The amendments will be made to Article 224 which regulates the return of seized goods in administrative cases on violation of customs procedures.
“If fines or necessary payment are made, the items were returned in 15 days. Now we propose to reduce this period to one working day,” Mirumyan said, adding that this move will simplify the work of domestic entrepreneurs.
