Armenia’s decision to join the Customs Union has adjusted but not canceled the agenda of Armenia’s relations with the European Union (EU).
Armenian Presidential Chief of Staff Vigen Sargsyan stated the aforesaid Thursday at an international conference on Armenia-EU relations.
As per Sargsyan, it is important that this is confirmed by the European partners and clearly expressed in the Armenia-EU joint statement.
“The tasks, which were set as the primary objectives of the Armenia-EU discourse, are steadily being performed,” he noted.
According to the Armenian Presidential Chief of Staff, during his address at the recent EU Eastern Partnership summit that was held in the Lithuanian capital city Vilnius, President Serzh Sargsyan had stressed that Armenia is determined to continue its institutional reforms, which form the core of Armenia-EU relations.
“In Vilnius, Armenia reconfirmed that Armenia’s obligations in the implementation of reforms remain on the agenda.
“We stand ready to continue cooperation within the framework of the Eastern Partnership, and we will continue with the reforms, as the most important component of Armenia-EU relations,” Vigen Sargsyan added.
