YEREVAN. – The operations at Zvartnots International Airport of Armenian capital city Yerevan are not disrupted because of the heavy snowfall in the country.
But solely several flights landed at Zvartnots with delay, Airport Press Secretary Gevorg Abrahamyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am.
“Some flights did not land [at Zvartnots], yesterday [i.e., Wednesday] evening during the period between 11pm and 1am; they went to the reserve airport and made their landing and departed again much later at night.
“[But] there were flights that landed; it is a decision by the given airline, the [cabin] crew. We do not have canceled flights,” Abrahamyan noted.
The press secretary added that Zvartnots International Airport is operating as normal, and the runways are cleaned with special materials.
