Turkish FM Ahmet Davutoglu is trying to form an imitation of a settlement process in Armenian-Turkish relations.
To this end, he included in his delegation visiting Yerevan Chief Editor Rober Koptas of Istanbul’s Agos Armenian bilingual weekly, Istanbul-Armenian journalist and columnist Markar Esayan, and Istanbul-Armenian businessman Samson Ozararat.
Writing the names of these three Armenians in Davutoglu’s delegation, Hürriyet daily of Turkey noted that they are the surprise names of the delegation.
In 1993, Samson Ozararat had set up the Paris meeting between then Armenian President Levon Ter-Petrosyan and Alparslan Turkes, the legendary leader of the Nationalist Movement Party (MHP) of Turkey.
Turkish FM Ahmet Davutoglu participated, under protests, in Thursday’s meeting of the Council of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation. The event was held in Armenian capital city Yerevan.
