YEREVAN. –In the near future Armenia will get a new loan for house construction, French Ambassador to Armenia Henri Reynaud said.

Creditor would be the French Development Agency (AFD) which is already operating in Armenia.

“The agreement will be signed in France. I am not familiar with the extent of the document, but the project will be implemented in the near future, so soon you will learn everything,” Ambassador told reporters on Thursday.

He recalled that in April 2013 the French company PROPARCO (one of the projects with the participation of AFD), allocated a loan to Ameriabank for agricultural loans.

“The funds were allocated on the conditions below market price. But beyond that, the loan appeared to be necessary for Armenian economy and justified itself,” he added.
